The in-game developer console in Satisfactory allows advanced users to view logs, monitor performance, and test commands during gameplay. By default, the console can be accessed using specific keys, but this may vary depending on your keyboard layout or personal settings.
Follow the guide below to open or rebind the console key in Satisfactory.
To open the console, press one of the following keys on your keyboard: ~ (tilde), ` (backtick), or § (paragraph), depending on your keyboard layout. Each time you press the key, the console will cycle through three modes:
If your keyboard layout doesn’t match the default, or if the console doesn’t open, you may need to manually assign a new activation key.
If you’re unable to open the console, you can set a new key manually using the steps below:
Close Satisfactory completely.
Press Windows + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.
Paste the following path and press Enter:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\FactoryGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
Open the file named Input.ini using a text editor such as Notepad.
At the bottom of the file, add the following lines:
[/Script/Engine.InputSettings]
ConsoleKey=F6
You can replace F6
with any other key that’s convenient for you.
Save the file and launch Satisfactory.
From now on, pressing your selected key (like F6) will open the console.
Note: This change overrides the default keybinds, so the original keys (~
, ```, §
) will no longer work unless you remove this custom setting.
