If you have been playing Palworld locally and want to continue your progress on a dedicated server, you can upload your saved world. This guide explains how to find your local world files, upload them to your RocketNode server, and what limitations you should be aware of.
Open Palworld and click Start Game to view your world list. Select your world and click the folder icon in the bottom-left corner. This will open the save folder on your computer. Create a ZIP of the files and keep them ready for upload. It is recommended to create a backup before continuing.
Stop your server from the RocketNode panel and go to File Manager
/Pal/Saved/SaveGames/0/
Inside this directory, open the last folder (the one with a random string of characters). Delete all files inside. These must be replaced with your own world files.
Upload the contents of your local save folder to the server directory you just cleared. Do not upload WorldOption.sav
, as this file can overwrite your server configuration.
Go back to the RocketNode panel and start your server. Your existing world should now load on the dedicated server.
Uploading your local Palworld world to a RocketNode server allows you to continue exploring and building with friends. Make sure to back up your files, avoid uploading the WorldOption.sav
, and remember that character progress will reset for the original host. By following these steps, you can enjoy your local creations on a dedicated multiplayer server.
