How to Add Moderators to Your ETS2/ATS Server

Learn how to assign moderators to your ETS2 or ATS server using SteamID64 values from the panel or manually via configuration files.

Adding Moderators to ETS2/ATS

Assigning moderators to your server allows specific users to help manage gameplay, enforce rules, and support players.

Method 1: Using the RocketNode Panel

  1. Log in to the RocketNode Game Panel.
  2. Select your ETS2 or ATS server.
  3. From the Overview tab, stop the server.
  4. Go to the Configuration tab.
  5. Find the field labeled Moderators List.
  6. Enter the SteamID64 of each moderator.
    • Use steamid.io to find a player’s SteamID64.
    • Separate multiple IDs with commas.

Example: 76561198012345678, 76561199098765432

Method 2: Manual Setup (Advanced)

If you’re managing files directly (e.g. for dedicated servers), you can add moderators manually by editing your server_config.sii file:

File location:

  • ETS2:
    .local/share/Euro Truck Simulator 2/server_config.sii
  • ATS:
    .local/share/American Truck Simulator/server_config.sii

Example syntax:

moderator_list: 3 moderator_list[0]: 76561198012345678 moderator_list[1]: 76561199098765432 moderator_list[2]: 76561199123456789

You must use valid SteamID64 values. These can be found at steamid.io.

Additional Notes

  • After uploading and configuring the files, start the server.
  • When the server starts, look for a line like:
    Session search id: 987654321/101
The number before the slash is what players must enter to find your server in the convoy screen.

Searching by server name is not supported.
