Enabling or Disabling Vote Kick in DST

The vote_kick_enabled setting determines whether players can start a vote to kick others from the server.

Method 1: Use the RocketNode Panel

1. Log in to the RocketNode Game Panel.

2. Select your Don’t Starve Together server.

3. Stop the server from the Overview tab.

4. Go to the Configuration tab and open Startup.

5. Find the VOTE KICK ENABLED setting.

6. Set it to:

   • true to allow players to initiate vote kicks.
   • false to disable the vote-kick system.

7. Start your server again.

Method 2: Edit via Config File

1. Go to the File Manager tab.
2. Navigate to: /DoNotStarveTogether/config/server/cluster.ini
3. Find: vote_kick_enabled = true
4. Change it to: vote_kick_enabled = false
5. Restart the server.

Notes

• Useful for letting the community self-moderate in public servers.
• Vote-kicking may be abused on unmoderated servers. For stricter control, consider using a whitelist or moderator list.
