Changing the Server Name in DST

The cluster_name setting defines how your server appears in the in-game browser. This is the first thing players see when browsing for servers.

Method 1: Change the Server Name Using the RocketNode Panel

1. Log in to the RocketNode Game Panel.

2. Select your Don’t Starve Together server.

3. Stop the server from the Overview tab.

4. Go to the Configuration tab and open Startup.

5. Locate the CLUSTER NAME field.

6. Replace the default name (e.g. DST Rocketnode.com Server) with your custom server name.

   You can include spaces, capital letters, and symbols like !, -, or :.

7. Return to the Overview tab and start your server.

Method 2: Change the Server Name via Config File

1. Open the File Manager tab in your panel.
2. Navigate to: /DoNotStarveTogether/config/server/cluster.ini
3. Locate the line: cluster_name = DST Rocketnode.com Server
4. Replace it with your custom name: cluster_name = RocketNode’s Cozy Survival World
5. Start your server from the Overview tab.

Naming Tips

• Keep it short, clear, and easy to recognize.
• Avoid using only symbols or long names that get cut off in the server list.
• If your server is private or invite-only, you can still name it creatively.
