How to Make Your 7 Days to Die Server Private

Learn how to make your 7 Days to Die server private by setting a password or adjusting visibility settings to restrict access to select players.

Control who can join your server by setting it to private.

If you want to create a private environment for your friends or a select group, you can either set a password on your server or enable a whitelist. Hereโ€™s how to do both:

Setting a Server Password:

  1. Log in to RocketNode’s Game Panel.

  2. Navigate to File Manager and open serverconfig.xml.

  3. Find the ServerPassword setting.

  4. Set the ServerPassword to your desired password.

  5. Click Save and restart your server.

Now, anyone who tries to join your server will need to enter this password.
